Southern Comfort in the Second City

This cute boy is new to the city but has quickly worked his way into the CuteChicagoGirls' graces. We fell in love with his silly spirit while clearing glasses at The Whistler and deemed him CCB-material when we spotted him at Big Star. Meet John A., the cutest boy from south of the Mason-Dixon Line!

Name: John A.
Age: 24
Neighborhood: Wicker Park
Hometown: Newport News, VA (moved here August 2009)
Occupation: Barback at the Whistler, and works with a Youth Guidance program for kids
Orientation: Straight
Status: Available!
Sign: Taurus
Wearing: Keeping warm in a bomber jacket and scarf, and showing off some new tattoos!
Seen: Drinking Old-Fashioneds at Big Star in Wicker Park, then again at the Flat Iron!
Fun Fact: Two years ago I met Bill Clinton outside the Marriott Hotel in Washington DC. I shook his hand and he gave me a hug!
You can find me: Bar Deville, Innertown Pub, the Whistler, and the Flatiron.

Keeping Us Addicted

This boy has been one of our favourites waaaay before we started CuteChicagoBoys.com. Troy S. has been drawing us back to the Violet Hour over the years, and after a while we started asking ourselves, "Are we coming in for the cocktails or for the boys?" And now as he begins his ventures with the Star Lounge's new "Dark Matter" Coffee, I wonder how bad our caffiene addiction will become! Meet Troy S., cute Bartender and Barista extraordinaire!

Name: Troy S.
Age: 32
Neighborhood: Humboldt Park
Hometown: Its a good question without an easy answer. My formative years were spent in Atlanta, but I was born in St. Louis. I've moved to Chicago now four times.
Occupation: Bartender at The Violet Hour, and took over sales and marketing for "Dark Matter" coffee at the Star Lounge.
Orientation: Straight
Status: Available!
Sign: Aquarius
Wearing:
Seen: Brewing "Dark Matter" at a private coffee tasting at CCB Jonathan J's studio.
Fun Fact: One of the coolest things that ever happened to me is when I was able to stage at Alinea, and I had never cooked before. I felt really privileged and lucky that Chef allowed me to do that. I was supposed to be there at 12, but I showed up at 11:15 and got a great tour of the place. I was planning of being there til like 2 in the morning, but around nine o'clock, one of the head servers came up to me and told me Chef wanted me to sit down. And then I got a bad-ass dinner. 24 courses later, I was blown away and my standard for amazing experiences got raised.
You can find me: I really like the Whistler and Delilah's, and the Publican for beer. If I'm not drinking beer at a place like the Publican, I'm just drinking High Life.

It's Fall in Chicago! Boys, Beards, Brew & Bears!

The best thing about Fall in Chicago: boys, beards and brew! And James V., the cutest bartender at Logan Square's Rocking Horse, has got it all! With the Bears game on in the background, this boy will crack you open a brewski and keep 'em coming. What could be better than that? Beardown and meet this seasons cutest bartender!

Name: James V.
Age: 26
Neighborhood: Ukrainian Village
Hometown: San Diego, CA
Occupation: Bartender at Rocking Horse and a Paramedic student at Malcolm X College
Orientation: Straight
Status: Taken
Sign: Leo
Wearing: Plaid button down, knit beanie, and a full on winter beard
Seen: Mixing drinks and pouring drafts at Logan Square's newest bar, Rocking Horse
Fun Fact: I saved a kids life when I was five years old. I pulled him out of a pool and gave him CPR. Maybe it is a calling that I have had since I was a little kid to become a Paramedic, I don't know. But that is definitely the coolest thing I've ever done.
You can find me: I hang out here, at the Rocking Horse at lot. I hang out at the Flat Iron and I go to Double Door and Reggies to see shows. Anywhere there is a show, I'm usually there.

Tasty Treats from the Executive Cute!

If you know anything about your ladies behind CuteChicagoBoys, its that we LOVE food and we LOVE chefs. We were lucky to attend the 2009 Meals on Wheels Celebrity Chefs Ball and catch The Drawing Room executive chef Nick Lacasse with some free time. We fell in love with his food, the way he transformed the Le Passage legacy, and of course his cute face! Maybe the stomach really is the most direct way into your heart!

Name: Chef Nick L.
Age: 30
Neighborhood: West Bucktown
Hometown: the Great State of Vermont, moved to Chicago about 5-6 years ago.
Occupation: Executive Chef of the Drawing Room and Le Passage Nightclub
Orientation: Straight
Status: Taken
Sign: Taurus
Wearing: A new Chefs' jacket, of course.
Seen: At the Meals on Wheels Celebrity Chef Ball dishing out delicious treats from the Drawing Room
Fun Fact: Last year when I came to the Meals on Wheels Ball, I was kind of star struck when I met Chef Jimmy Sneed. I introduced myself and was like "hey Chef, I've been reading your cookbooks for years, do you have a business card?" and he came up and gave me a free night at his new hotel in Naperville, including a five-course tasting. I was so star-struck! And then I met Nancy Silverton today, who is one of my all time favourite chefs.
You can find me: Usually at Gold Star Bar on Sunday nights, Cans on Monday Nights for the wings and for the camaraderie of my friend Chad behind the bar. Wednesday nights I go to Angelo's on Wells [ed note: Sedgwick & North].
