Where've we been? CuteChicagoboys.com is just taking a little break. All the cute boys are buried under layers of sweaters, scarves, mittens, beards, hats, and cans of Old Style. When the sun comes back and they shed their winter coats, we'll be back with all the boys we can get!

Another BEST OF CHICAGO 2009 for Cute Chicago Boys!

We already mentioned that our blog, CuteChicagoBoys.com was named "Best place to eye a boy toy" in the "Best of Chicago 2009" edition of NewCity magazine.

Well, we are in there again! This time, they are giving accolades to our "Benefit for a Broken Arm" hosted at the Whistler with "Best Indication America Needs a new Health Care Policy".

This boy has been one of our favourites waaaay before we started CuteChicagoBoys.com. Fun Fact: One of the coolest things that ever happened to me is when I was able to stage at Alinea, and I had never cooked before. I felt really privileged and lucky that Chef allowed me to do that. I was supposed to be there at 12, but I showed up at 11:15 and got a great tour of the place. I was planning of being there til like 2 in the morning, but around nine o'clock, one of the head servers came up to me and told me Chef wanted me to sit down. And then I got a bad-ass dinner. 24 courses later, I was blown away and my standard for amazing experiences got raised.

We were lucky to attend the 2009 Meals on Wheels Celebrity Chefs Ball and catch The Drawing Room executive chef Nick Lacasse with some free time. We fell in love with his food, the way he transformed the Le Passage legacy, and of course his cute face! Maybe the stomach really is the most direct way into your heart!

This assistant chef was all fired up after an intense night of serving delicious appetizers for a charity event. Sometimes when we are hunting the Cute Chicago Boys, we can be a little creepy. We are not exactly "stalking" but there is a good amount of tracking, following, hunting down that goes on. This boy saw us coming as we were following him and his brother around the Hideout/Bloodshot Records BBQ. Everywhere they went, we were- giggling until we finally got the chance to pull them away from the Waco Brothers set and interview them. TOO MANY of our friends have been getting hit by CARS while on their BIKES. Not only did we have a BENEFIT FOR A BROKEN ARM to raise funds to help our dear uninsured friend Jamie L to pay for her surgery after getting hit by a car, but now we have learned that MORE of our VERY OWN Cute Chicago Boys have gotten slammed into by CARS while they are riding bicycles.

(Austin H., Mike H., Gabriel R., and Brandon E have all gotten hit by bikes since CuteChicagoBoys.com launched, Mike H and Austin both got hit this WEEK! Thankfully they are alive and well, with only two of them landing in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries).

Drivers: please be aware of your surroundings, check your mirrors before opening doors, stay out of the bike lane, and most importantly, SHARE THE ROAD!
Cyclists: Ride smart! Helmets, Lights, abide the Rules of the Road and ALWAYS get the driver's insurance information even if you get a minor hit!

We don't want to put up any ghost bikes for our Cute Chicago Boys.

If there is one thing we love in a boy, its a sense of humour! How happy were we then when our Cute Boy sighting turned into the discovery of an up-and-coming comedian? Meet Trey M., a young comic who has joked his way right into our hearts!

We were pretty lucky this weekend at the Hideout + Bloodshot Records Anniversary BBQ when we stumbled across a cute Clark Kent look a like. He may be gorgeous but he's also hillarious, and was keeping us cracking up thru his entire interview. Meet Chris M., a Cute Roscoe Village Boy!

Thanks to all of you who came by and showed your support for Jamie Lehtola and her broken arm. You helped us raise $1,060 for her medical bills, and her heart was very full and grateful.

Let's face it, Chicago winters do nothing for our figures or appearances. It's hard to look cute under five layers of clothing.
So when Spring arrived, Sarah Rodriguez, 24, and Cara Higgins, 25, started noticing the cute guys walking around their neighborhood more often. They'd use their phones to snap a pic or two of attractive men and post them on Twitter or Facebook.
In April, the two young women started a blog dedicated to these good-looking gents: Cute Chicago Boys.
"When we started it was very hard for both of us to do because we would get really shy about it," Higgins told Newcity.
"Guys are way more embarrassed than we are," Rodriguez added. "They'll be all smiley and shy and 'I don't know' and we have to open them up."
CuteChicagoBoys.com features photos and profiles of men in their 20s and 30s. The girls include a few details about the highlighted guys, like where they're from, where they were seen and if they're available.
Wait. If they're available?
That's right. The "cute" guys range from single to taken to married to it's complicated.
So what's the point of advertising a cute guy and getting to know him if he's already taken? (If you're just looking for friendships with guys, they wouldn't need to be "cute.")
Even if you are interested in meeting one of these "cute guys," the site does not offer any way to contact the men in question. Rather, the men describe where "you can usually find me." Again, the answers are humorously varied: bars, restaurants, street intersections, "on my bike," and—best of all—"anywhere and everywhere."
So if you want to meet them, happy hunting!
Admittedly, the "cuteness" of the guys is pretty subjective, and we noticed that most of them are thin, student/artist, indie/hipster, North Siders. Fortunately, the site welcomes submissions, so be sure to send some photos and help diversify the selection. Right now, it needs it.

This quiet boy was shy to answer our questions but his bashful smile made us want him even more!
